Questa volta non ho atteso settimane prima di decidermi (come mi era capitato con il pur invitante box della Factory). No, questa volta l'ho preso non appena me lo sono trovato di fronte.Parlo del nuovo cofanetto di Siouxsie And The Banshees, naturalmente. Dopo lo splendido boxset dedicato, alcuni anni fa, a B-Sides e rarità (il cui acquisto consiglio vivissimamente) vengono stavolta proposti, in tre CD e un DVD, tutti i brani incisi per la BBC.
Oltre alle 5 Peel Sessions, che erano già state raccolte in CD qualche tempo fa, i CD offrono le sessioni registrate dalla storica band post punk per il Richard Skinner Show, per il Kid Jensen Show e per il Janice Long Show.
A questi brani sono state aggiunte due lunghe esibizioni live: 13 canzoni registrate all'Apollo Theatre nell'85 e altre 11 provenienti dalla performance tenutasi alla Royal Albert Hall nell'88.
Impressionante, soprattutto, il materiale proposto dal DVD: ben 30 registrazioni andate in onda in diverse trasmissioni della TV inglese, tra le quali l'Old Grey Whistle Test, Pop Of The Pops. Rock Goes to College.
L'opera è completata da un bel libretto, curato dalla leggenda vivente del giornalismo musicale britannico Paul Morley, nel quale è inclusa tra l'altro una lunga intervista a tutti i membri della band.
